Finally I finish something....and 1st Prize!

Yep a new deviation, the first in around 3 months. I don't know why I go through periods where I don't feel like drawing, but last night inspiration hit me and I drew
I am actually quite happy with it. If I bought some black pastel paper I would probably make life a lot easier for myself though.

Now I have to brag a bit. My Dad =JedEye belongs to an art club. They have a competition every year where the member can each submit a piece of their choosing and possibly win the founder's trophy. So he decided to have a go. He won 1st prize!!! against 49 other entrants. The nicest thing about it is it was a painting of my daughter Arianna and I. I didn't know anything about it until he had won the prize. He gave it to my husband, who was totally astounded. He love's it.
Here it is, but the scan really doesn't do it justice.

It now has pride of place in my sitting room, well it will have when I get it back, it has gone to be in the art club exhibition.

Anyway that's all I have to say for now. Have a good weekend everyone!
